Aquaporin's cutting-edge technology is making progress in the wine industry through its exclusive collaboration with Gallo. Since early 2023, thousands of liters of various products have been processed at pilot scale, achieving excellent concentration quality levels. Quality control was performed by industry experts, meeting or exceeding expectations on several parameters. These initial results have received positive feedback from the experts on both quality and aroma and are undergoing further evaluations

Aquaporin hopes that these advancements may one day revolutionize the concentration process in the wine industry with significant environmental benefits, while maintaining the highest quality standards. Given the success observed in 2024, Aquaporin and Gallo are continuing their testing and development in 2025, which will include the evaluation of new and advanced Aquaporin FO products.

For the Chief Executive Officer at Aquaporin, Matt Boczkowski, the project marks an important milestone.

"The progress we made in 2024 has set the stage for even greater advancements ahead. We are excited to continue pushing the boundaries in the wine segment, but also to exploring new possibilities for quality and sustainability in the industry," explains Matt Boczkowski.

Aquaporin and Gallo embarked on this collaborative journey in 2021, starting with an application test, a pilot trial, and later a research and development agreement.

Expanding the FO product line

Aquaporin has significantly accelerated product development in its FO division, creating prototypes of food-grade scalable solutions that meet the stringent sanitary demands of the food and beverage industry. The company has designed multi-element thin and large fiber prototypes, tested in late 2024 and for continued testing in 2025, respectively. These advancements were driven by the collaboration with Gallo and their roadmap to redefine concentration technologies for high-quality food and beverage products.
