Carbiotix (publ) ("Carbiotix" or "Company") announces today that the Company has been certified according to the ISO 9001:2015 quality management standard. The certificate number 9001-1172 was issued on the 12th of April by Svensk Certifiering AB and covers all activities at the Company's head office and lab, including research & development, design, packaging, marketing, sales and the distribution of IT-services. Achieving ISO 9001 certification is important as it demonstrates a high level of quality management across the Company and is demanded by many customers, especially larger companies with stricter supplier requirements. During the coming months, Carbiotix will work towards expanding its quality management system to include its production site in Bjuv, Sweden, which will be a template for future production sites in the US and continental Europe.

I would like to extend a special thanks to our Head of Regulatory & Legal Affairs Sumedha Aradhya who has championed this process and will continue to expand the scope of this management system as we grow, as well as pursue additional certifications and accreditations for our lab and production facilities as needed.
Achieving ISO 9001 certification demonstrates that we are not only managing quality at the Company today but also have the structures in place to continually improve our performance over time. Although ISO 9001 is required by many large customers as a supplier requirement in their due diligence, for me this is about professionally managing the company. The timing of this certification is also very good as we prepare to start up our first CarbiAXOS production line and thereafter begin to deliver CarbiAXOS samples for customer testing and formulation work. We will now focus on bringing our production facility in Bjuv into the scope of the ISO 9001 system, which will be done internally and relatively quickly."
