In 2020, Cloetta joined the Science Based Targets initiatives and set goals in line with the Paris agreement. We have committed to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions within scopes 1, 2, and 3 by 46 per cent by 2030 from a 2019 base year.

Last year, we made further progress within our climate action program by improving our data collection process through collaboration with value chain partners for our scope 3 emissions and structured our initiatives to accelerate the reduction of our scope 1 and 2 emissions.", says President and CEO Henri de Sauvage-Nolting.

• Cloetta's vegan candy portfolio significantly increased to 37% from 23% last year. Overall, we maintained more than 90% recyclable packaging.

• Total CO2e emissions decreased with approximately 10% compared to 2019 (base-year). 

• Continued efforts to enable living income for cocoa farmers and empower women who are harvesting shea in West Africa.
