Sandnes, Norway, 31 July 2024-Desert Control signs a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Syngenta Crop Protection AG ("Syngenta"), part of Syngenta Group, one of the world's largest agricultural technology companies, to explore potential synergies aimed at enhancing soil health and promoting sustainable agricultural practices.

The MoU marks the beginning of a collaboration to evaluate the potential benefits of combining organic and biological additives, including advanced biostimulants from Syngenta, with Desert Control's Liquid Natural Clay (LNC). The joint efforts will initially focus on exploratory studies and field evaluations in arid regions characterized by challenging soil conditions (sandy and fast-draining soils) and high water stress. Initial field studies are anticipated to be initiated in the Middle East region during the second half of 2024.

"We are excited about the collaboration with Syngenta," said Ole Kristian Sivertsen, CEO of Desert Control. "This initiative underscores both our and Syngenta's commitment to innovation and sustainable agriculture. By combining efforts, we aim to address critical soil health and water scarcity challenges, paving the way for the next generation of sustainable soil solutions."

Both companies are dedicated to advancing agricultural sustainability and improving crop yields through innovative solutions. This collaboration represents a significant step towards developing integrated approaches that enhance soil fertility and water use efficiency, contributing to global food security.
