Desert Control AS: Desert Control Partners with Growers Edge to Introduce Harvest-Aligned Financing for Liquid Natural Clay

2026-08-06 07:30:00

New financing program enables commercial growers to implement Liquid Natural Clay with no loan payments required until after harvest

SANDNES, NORWAY, 6 August 2026 - Desert Control AS (OSE: DSRT), a leader in soil and water conservation technology, today announced a partnership with Growers Edge, an agricultural financial technology company providing modern financial products and data-driven tools, to make Liquid Natural Clay (LNC) more financially accessible to commercial crop growers.

Through the new program, approved growers will be able to finance the purchase and application of LNC with no loan payments required until after harvest. By aligning repayment with the timing of crop revenue, the program is designed to help growers preserve working capital during the production season while investing in technology intended to improve root-zone water and nutrient management.

The partnership addresses a common challenge in agricultural technology adoption: growers typically incur production costs months before receiving revenue from the crop. Even when a technology has demonstrated agronomic and economic potential, the timing of the initial investment can limit the acreage a grower is prepared to treat.

"This partnership addresses one of the most important barriers to scaling agricultural innovation: the timing of the investment," said James Thomas, Chief Executive Officer of Desert Control. "Growers make significant financial commitments throughout the production cycle, well before the crop generates revenue. By allowing qualified customers to defer repayment until after harvest, we can better align the purchase of LNC with the economics and cash-flow realities of commercial farming."

For Desert Control, the partnership adds an important financing capability to its commercial platform. It is intended to support the company's strategy of converting validated grower interest and field trials into larger, revenue-generating deployments while maintaining a disciplined approach to commercial expansion.
