Humana är ett svenskt bolag med verksamhet inom vård och omsorg. Inom organisationen riktas huvudfokus mot individ- och familjeomsorg, personlig assistans, samt äldreomsorg. Bolaget erbjuder även korttidsboenden samt särskilt anpassade boenden. Tjänster som erbjuds innefattar huvudsakligen personligt stöd samt psykiatriska behandlingar. Störst närvaro återfinns inom den nordiska marknaden, med huvudkontor i Stockholm.

In its budget proposal, the government intends to increase the standard compensation for personal assistance by 3.0 per cent for 2025. An inquiry into an indexation of the compensation will be carried out with intent to implement within a few years, which would mean that the compensation would be increased automatically every year. In addition, the standard deduction for parental responsibility will be halved, in order to strengthen the right to personal assistance for children.

The increase in the standard compensation of 3,0 per cent is an increase compared with the previous year (2.5 per cent). The current collectively agreed wage agreements are valid until September 2025, which reduces margin pressure for most of 2025. An indexation of the standard compensation would mean greater predictability, greater ability for a long-term perspective and reduced financial risk in personal assistance.

The standard deduction for parental responsibility means that a certain number of hours are deducted from the basic needs of children, where the child's age determines the size of the deduction. The halving of the deduction proposed in the state budget means that the threshold for entitlement to assistance for children is reduced, which is likely to entitle more children to personal assistance. The change not only affects the right to assistance, but also means that more hours become eligible for assistance.

Humana, together with other actors in the industry and the disability movement, has conducted long-term work with opinion formation, advocacy work and knowledge spreading to advertise for reasonable conditions for assistance.

-I am convinced that all the conversations we have had with decision-makers and published debate articles have affected the outcome of the budget proposal. Strengthening assistance has several positive effects. It should be possible to run personal assistance throughout Sweden, rogue actors should be kept away so that we can minimize the risk of welfare crime, and more people should be able to get jobs as personal assistants. And above all: everyone should receive the assistance they are entitled to, says Hans Dahlgren, CEO of Humana Assistans.

-We will, of course, continue to engage in the debate and contribute to the inquiry into an indexation. An automatic increase linked to an index will be able to provide long-term conditions and, above all, provide security for all those entitled to assistance, says Nathalie Boulas Nilsson, President and CEO of Humana.
