K-Prefab AB, a subsidiary of K-Fast Holding AB ("K-Fastigheter"), has signed an agreement with MTA Bygg och Anläggning AB ("MTA") regarding a full service concrete frame for the construction of new apartments, commercial premises and underground parking garage in Kv Virket 3 in Lund. MTA's end customer is Huseriet/Rikshem.

K-Prefab is to carry out a complete contract (ABT-U) with K-Prefabs concrete frame system in full. In total, the Kv. Virket 3 project comprises 45,000 square meters rental apartments, 1,100 square meters commercial premises and an underground parking garage. K-Prefab enters the project already at the project planning document stage, which is relatively unusual and demonstrates trust between the parties and facilitates the company's planning. Kv. Virket 3 is K-Prefabs, to date, largest single project.

"I'm proud of our organization that makes a terrific job at the ongoing phase which has enabled us to be entrusted with the next phase as well. We will be part of the project planning document stage until the end of the year, the detailed project planning during 2026 and thereafter start production. After that we have about two and a half years before completion", says Stefan Paulsson, CEO of K-Prefab.

The Virket 3 block is part of the transformation of the former industrial area of Västerbro, located 1.5 kilometers northwest of Lund city center, into a residential area and a vibrant sustainable district in the city. In the area there is ongoing construction of Kv. Virket 6 where K-Prefab also supplies and assembles frame solutions. Construction of Kv Virket 3 is planned to start in 2026.
