Katalysen Ventures AB: Katalysen implements cost-saving programme to strengthen cash flow and realise the portfolio's value potential
Katalysen Ventures AB (publ) ("Katalysen" or the "Company") is implementing a cost-saving programme expected to reduce annual operating costs by approximately SEK 3 million once the measures have been fully implemented. This corresponds to approximately one third of total annual operating costs. The decision strengthens cash flow and gives the Company greater flexibility in ongoing exit processes. The measures are being implemented while maintaining the capacity to support and develop the portfolio. Katalysen's active role and engagement in the portfolio will remain unchanged.
Katalysen believes that several portfolio companies are in a phase with good prospects for continued value growth. Katalysen has therefore chosen to reduce its cost base rather than sell portfolio companies prematurely to finance ongoing operations. A lower cost base gives the portfolio companies more time to develop and create value for Katalysen and its shareholders. At the same time, active work on exits will continue, with a focus on completing sales at attractive times and on terms that reflect the development and value potential of the holdings.
The cost-saving programme includes reduced personnel costs, lower net costs for office space, a simplified corporate structure and reduced external costs. In parallel, Katalysen is working to develop recurring revenues, with the aim that these will fully cover the Company's ongoing costs by the end of 2028.
