Katalysen Ventures regrets to inform about the bankruptcy declarations of two companies within its investment portfolio: PRFKT Rights AB and OptiMobile AB. As a result, these two companies are now valued at 0 SEK in Katalysen Ventures' portfolio, representing a -2.3% (-4.18 MSEK) change from the total portfolio value communicated in the 2023 Q1 report.

PRFKT Rights AB has faced significant challenges in adapting to the new market realities following the global pandemic. Despite concerted efforts to navigate the changing landscape, PRFKT Rights AB was unable to sustain its operations and has made the difficult decision to declare bankruptcy.

OptiMobile AB embarked on a pivot strategy approximately a year ago, which included the launch of their new service "Woony". Although the development of this new service, which Katalysen Ventures had high hopes for, was concluded six months ago, further funding was required to scale sales. Unfortunately, OptiMobile AB was unable to secure the necessary financial resources when the market for funding tightened, leading to its declaration of bankruptcy.

Peter Almberg, CEO at Katalysen Ventures, expressed his thoughts on the matter, saying: "We extend our best wishes to the teams at PRFKT Rights and OptiMobile, and we commend them for their efforts over the last years. Despite the outcome, we believe in the talent and expertise of these teams, and we wish them the best of luck with their future endeavors."
