Katalysen Ventures AB (publ) ("Katalysen") today announces that MainlyAI has been added to Katalysen's portfolio. The investment is structured around Katalysen helping MainlyAI achieve a number of operational and commercial milestones. As these milestones are reached, Katalysens ownership will reach 21%.

Katalysen has identified a clear and growing problem in the market: many companies want to use AI, but struggle to do so in practice. It is often unclear how AI should be connected to a company's existing systems, how it should operate in daily workflows, and how responsibility for deployed solutions should be managed.

MainlyAI addresses this problem by building the technical foundation that allows AI to be used inside organizations in a practical and controlled way. The platform can be seen as a bridge between AI services that generate user-facing functionality and a company's own internal systems, enabling AI to move from experimentation into real operations.

Today, deploying AI in a company often requires expensive specialists and external consultants, making development slow and difficult to control. MainlyAI enables a company's own developers to build, deploy, and manage AI systems themselves, in the same way as other internal IT systems.

AI systems in MainlyAI are built using clear, reusable building blocks. Each block performs a specific task, such as reading data, running an AI model, overseeing an agent performing a task, or storing results. This structure makes AI systems easier to understand, review, and take responsibility for, both at a technical level and from a leadership perspective.

With MainlyAI, companies can own and control their AI systems instead of depending on external suppliers. The platform also enables developers to gradually build AI competence through hands-on work, allowing AI capability to become part of the organization rather than isolated specialist knowledge.

Katalysen sees a significant market opportunity for solutions that make AI practical, responsible, and sustainable for companies to use. As AI becomes a core part of business operations, companies increasingly need tools that support ownership, control, accountability, and long-term ownership. This is particularly important for European companies seeking to reduce dependency on external ecosystems and suppliers.

As part of the investment, Katalysen has formed a dedicated team to work closely with MainlyAI. Katalysen will contribute hands-on expertise across strategy, execution, and long-term development to support the company's transition from early growth into its next phase.

"I am so excited about this opportunity. We love these big, real problems related to actually starting to use AI in a responsible way in the corporate world. MainlyAI provides solutions to these real problems. We understand the opportunity and are committed to providing the execution support needed," says Peter Almberg, Chairman of Katalysen Ventures.

Further information will be communicated as the collaboration progresses.
