It is with profound sadness that we share that Lars Bang, Executive Vice President, Product Development & Supply, has passed away.
Lars joined Lundbeck in 1988 and dedicated almost four decades of his professional life to the company. During that time, he held a number of senior leadership positions across Lundbeck spanning R&D, corporate strategy, international sales and marketing, and production and supply. From 2003, Lars held senior leadership responsibility for our production and supply organization, most recently as Executive Vice President, Product Development & Supply. Lars was a member of Lundbeck's Executive Leadership Team and Registered Executive Management.
"Lars was an exceptional colleague and leader who cared deeply about Lundbeck, our people and the difference we make for patients. He made an important and lasting contribution to Lundbeck over almost four decades and will be deeply missed. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones at this very difficult time," says Charl van Zyl, President & CEO of Lundbeck.
Lundbeck is putting interim leadership arrangements in place for Product Development & Supply while a permanent leadership solution is determined.
