The partnership will focus on deploying GreenIron's patented hydrogen-based technology to reduce metal oxides to pure metals, a process that is entirely fossil-free and generates only water as a byproduct. This innovative approach aligns with Nidhogg's commitment to leveraging new technologies to support the energy transition and enhance resource efficiency within the mining sector and its existing mining assets.

According to the terms of the MOU Nidhogg will source ore material such as iron, copper, manganese and GreenIron will use its technology to reduce the material with its hydrogen technology to deliver fossil free and commercially usable metals in a renewable manner.
