Norse Atlantic ASA: Record unit revenue in July on the back of strong demand

2026-08-07 07:00:00

Arendal, Norway, 7 August 2026.

In July, Norse Atlantic Airways ("Norse" or "the Company") delivered a new all-time-high total unit revenue in own network (TRASK) of 7.1 US cents per available seat kilometer, an increase of 27% compared to the same month in 2025. Due to persistently high fuel prices, Norse continued to optimize route planning to save cost with total available capacity down 31% year-over-year. The Norse product remains attractive with a total load factor approaching 99%, well above the 2025 comparative figure.

Eivind Roald, the CEO of Norse, comments:

"Norse delivered record unit revenue for the second consecutive month on the back of our attractive product, strong customer demand for direct transatlantic routes and our highly popular FIFA World Cup flights. This was reflected in full flights and higher average fares in our own network, while ACMI/charter utilization remained stable.

Our airline on demand strategy enables us to respond quickly to market changes. We leveraged this positioning when we rapidly launched dedicated flights from London and Oslo to the US, flying English and Norwegian fans to follow their national teams during the FIFA World Cup.

With fuel prices slowly trending downward and demand remaining strong, we see an opportunity to increase capacity on our own network in the coming months, which may include adding more US flights to New York and Orlando."

(July traffic figures. Comparable figures for year-ago period shown in brackets)

  • 98.5% load factor across network and ACMI/Charter operations (94.0%)
  • Total revenue per available seat kilometer in own network (TRASK) of 7.1 US cents, up 27% from 5.6 US cents
  • 248 flights in own scheduled network (604)
  • 247 ACMI/charter flights operated (54)
  • 139,172 passengers transported (203,712) across network and ACMI/charter operations, down 32% YoY
  • Norse completed 100% of scheduled flights in the Month (99%)
  • 70% of flights in own network departed within 15 minutes of scheduled departure time (70%)
  • On-time performance was negatively impacted by continued air traffic control delays, airport congestion and travel disruptions as a knock-on effect from the Middle East conflict
