- Stavanger, Norway. Norsk Solar AS ("Norsk Solar", OSEBX ticker: NSOL) reports no physical or technical damage to the 9 MW solar PV power plant located in Semypolky, Ukraine, approximately 60 km north of Kyiv. Norsk Solar has 45 % ownership in the plant.
Remote monitoring is ongoing, and local operations partners are on site. The plant is currently not producing power, based on instruction issued by the Ukrainian National Power company Ukrenergo.
The company has mobilized its emergency response protocol and is maintaining close contact with the one employee working for Norsk Solar in Ukraine, as well as our partners, contractors and authorities.
"We are shaken by the tragedy unfolding in Ukraine, and our greatest concern is the safety and wellbeing of our Ukrainian colleague, his family, and our partners. We will do whatever we can to provide our support," said Øyvind L. Vesterdal, CEO in Norsk Solar.
Norsk Solar continues to monitor the situation as closely as possible, together with our operational partners in Ukraine. We continue to follow the instructions from Ukrenergo and will provide necessary updates.
