NYAB Infrastructure signs an agreement with Luleå Municipality for infrastructure work in connection with the expansion of Luleå Industrial Park in the new industrial area Hertsöfältet. The agreement, which has been signed on cost-plus contract, is expected to start in the first quarter of 2025 and be completed in September 2026.
The agreement includes the construction of roads, and water and sewage pipes with a pumping station and ditches for stormwater management. The project will be carried out in collaboration with Luleå Municipality, where the parties jointly solve tasks in an open collaboration.
"We are very pleased with the trust from Luleå Municipality and we look forward to further deepening our already strong collaboration. The project is a perfect fit for us as we are already active in the area and know it well. We are proud to continue contributing to the development of Luleå Industrial Park and the entire municipality," says Mattias Broström, Business Area Manager Infrastructure at NYAB Sweden.
Luleå Industrial Park is an established business cluster for green industrial transition with world-leading technology development. Luleå Municipality owns and develops Luleå Industrial Park in close collaboration with the industry and Luleå University. Luleå Industrial Park consists of the industrial area of Svartön and the new industrial area of Hertsöfältet. Work on Hertsöfältet began in 2021, and the area is expected to be fully developed by 2030. NYAB is already active with several projects in the area.
