The project includes the construction of a new school and health center with a total building area of 12,630 m2. This includes a modern school building, recycling and waste room and health center. The school building will accommodate 240 pupils from grades one to ten, a special education section, a teaching kitchen, a duodji workshop, a volleyball hall, a library and a language center.

The new health center will have functions such as an emergency room, clinic, health center, short-term and long-term wards, home care services, protected units, nursing home apartments and a commercial kitchen.

The architecture and material choices will reflect Sami culture and tradition, including the use of traditional patterns and colors.

The project has a strong focus on sustainability. The buildings will be constructed with the insulation capacity and energy consumption of passive houses. Building materials with a low environmental impact will be used and systems for waste minimization and recycling will be created. In addition, green areas will be arranged around the buildings to promote biodiversity and a pleasant environment.

The project is a turnkey contract. Construction is scheduled to start in May 2025 and is expected to be completed in the fall of 2027.

The project will be order registered in the first quarter 2025.
