Platzer has for the fourth year in a row received renewal of the green label by Nasdaq. To qualify, over 50 percent of turnover and the majority of investments must be in green activities. The review of Platzer, which is conducted according to S&P Shades of Green, shows that 74 percent of the company's turnover is assessed as green.
-Platzer wants to make a positive contribution to society by having the smallest possible carbon footprint. Today, we are very proud to have been approved by Nasdaq Green Equity Designation for the fourth year in a row. The Nasdaq Green Equity Designation makes it easier for both large and small investors to make wise sustainable decisions, says Jakob Nilsson, Platzer's CFO.
The aim of exchange operator Nasdaq's new green designation is to offer increased visibility toward investors looking for sustainable investments. Nasdaq Green Equity Designation is aimed at companies where over 50 percent of turnover is generated by activities considered to be green, and whose investments are predominantly in green activities.
Platzer Fastigheter was one of the first companies in Sweden to receive the green label Nasdaq Green Equity Designation for its share. Platzer received the green label from Nasdaq for the first time in June 2021 and has since been approved annually in the audit. In June 2025, Platzer was the first company to be reviewed against new ranking criteria. These are based on both current sustainability performance and future performance in 2030. In this year's audit, 74 percent of Platzer's turnover is assessed as green. Platzer's current ranking is assessed as "Light Green" and the future ranking is assessed as "Medium Green".
The renewal of Nasdaq's green label is a result of Platzer's dedicated efforts to improve energy efficiency across its property portfolio, where energy use per unit area has been reduced by 35% over the past 10 years. It is also a result of long-term investment in environmental certification, green lease agreements and renewable energy. The ranking of future sustainability performance also includes planned initiatives to reduce the company's climate impact across the entire value chain.
