The investment includes the expansion of production lines, additional machine capacity and the strengthening of quality and testing equipment. Based on existing customer contracts and ongoing enquiries, Astor Group estimates that strategic production investments over time could enable a capacity increase corresponding to up to six times current annual production volumes.
“Demand for ammunition continues to increase. This investment not only ensures Ammunity's continued growth, but also strengthens Astor Group's role in European defence production. As part of the European ammunition supply chain, we can now contribute with increased capacity in military ammunition – a strategically important contribution to Europe's security,” says Mattias Hjorth, CEO of Scandinavian Astor Group.
The investment is financed through Astor Group's existing liquidity and is expected to have a positive effect on the Group's sales and profitability from the latter part of 2026 onwards.
