Summa Defence Oyj: Change of Managing Director at Lännen Tractors

Michael Bogomolec has been appointed Managing Director of Lännen Tractors Oy, a subsidiary of Summa Defence Plc. He takes up the position on 1 July 2026, succeeding Veli Ollila.
Bogomolec joins from Ioncor Oy, where he has served as Director of Operations Development since 2020. Ioncor continues the battery business of Valmet Automotive and adopted its current name in autumn 2024. He has more than two decades of leadership experience in the automotive industry, with responsibilities including operations and production development, the launch of new products into production, and change management. His strong background in industrial production and production development supports Lännen Tractors' current growth phase.

Lännen Tractors Oy, based in Loimaa, Finland, is an international supplier of smart and mobile multipurpose machines designed for continuous operation in both civilian and military applications. The machines offer superior mobility across terrain and road and can be fully remotely operated, with a wide and quickly interchangeable range of work attachments. They support logistics, the movement and storage of materials, and the building and maintenance of infrastructure. The company's customers include the Finnish Defence Forces.
In March 2026, Lännen Tractors received the largest single order in its history, valued at EUR 35 million, for NATO-compatible Lännen 8800M-DF multipurpose machines from a European NATO country. Deliveries are scheduled for 2026, 2027 and 2028.
