Belcor®, a European provider of nonwoven-based thermal and fire protection solutions, files a patent application for its technology integrating the Belcotex® fibers with Svenska Aerogels material Quartzene®. This innovation enables Belcor® to deliver remarkable results in OEM applications for electric vehicle (EV) batteries, ensuring highest battery safety and thermal management.
The Belcor® initiative has extensive expertise in high-performance nonwoven solutions for heat and fire protection of batteries and other high demanding applications. They have now developed a new solution tailored to meet the strict requirements within EV safety. Their latest advancement, Belcotex® fibers, enables precise modulation of substrate densities to meet specific requirements of battery cells. A key breakthrough in this innovation is the seamlessly incorporation of Svenska Aerogels material Quartzene® in their formulation, unlocking new levels of efficiency and versatility.
Belcor® has already taken a significant step forward by delivering prototypes integrating Svenska Aerogel's technology to leading OEMs in the EV industry, yielding highly positive results. This further strengthens their market position and confirms their readiness to support large-scale adoption.
