Three finalist spots for Synsam Group in the NCSC Nordic Awards 2026
Synsam Group has secured three finalist spots in two categories in the NCSC Nordic Awards 2026. Synsam Norway is a finalist for Commercial Player of the Year, while NK Eyewear & Optics in Stockholm and Synsam Vika in Oslo are competing for the Establishment of the Year award. The winners will be announced on 3 September in Stockholm.
The NCSC Awards is an annual Nordic competition that recognises successful, innovative and creative initiatives within retail and commercial spaces. The finalist positions reflect Synsam Group's development of the future of optics and eye health through new store concepts, technological innovation, increased accessibility and profitable expansion.
- Three finalist spots in a Nordic competition are a strong recognition of our employees' work and the transformation journey we are driving. Synsam Norway demonstrates how business development, technology and eye health can be combined to reach more customers, while NK Eyewear & Optics and Synsam Vika represent two different but equally ambitious destinations for the future of retail. We are very proud of all three finalist spots, says Håkan Lundstedt, President and CEO of Synsam Group.

Synsam Norway - finalist for Commercial Player of the Year
Synsam Norway is a finalist in the Commercial Player of the Year category, in which NCSC assesses, among other things, expansion, financial stability, innovation, customer service and customer experience.
Synsam Norway combines optical expertise, technology and structured growth to make eye health more accessible throughout the country. Through Synsam EyeView, digital and technology-assisted eye examinations have been integrated into the business. A licensed optometrist has medical responsibility, while a certified employee conducts the examination in the store. In 2025, approximately 21 per cent of Synsam's eye examinations in Norway were conducted using EyeView. The technology increases capacity and makes it possible to offer eye examinations even in locations where access to optometrists is limited.

Growth has also been strong and profitable. Synsam Norway opened 12 new stores in 2024 and a further five in 2025. In 2025, organic growth was 13.1 per cent, with sales amounting to SEK 1,365 million, and the EBIT margin improved to 11.4 per cent (10.3).
NK Eyewear & Optics - finalist for Establishment of the Year Sweden
NK Eyewear & Optics opened at NK in Stockholm in May 2025 and is a finalist for Establishment of the Year. The standalone luxury concept within Synsam Group combines exclusive eyewear fashion with clinical expertise and eye health.

The 47-metre-long store on NK's entrance floor offers more than 1,400 spectacle frames from around 35 international luxury brands. The store features state-of-the-art eye examination rooms and eye screening using, among other things, an OCT camera. Trained style experts guide customers from the optometrist's recommendation to the choice of frames based on style, function and individual needs.
Synsam Vika - finalist for Establishment of the Year Norway
Synsam Vika opened on 19 December 2025 in central Oslo and, at approximately 900 square metres, is Synsam's largest store in Norway. The megastore is a strategic relocation from Aker Brygge and has been developed in accordance with Synsam's latest store concept.
The store offers nearly 5,000 pairs of spectacles and sunglasses - Synsam Norway's largest assortment - featuring international brands, house brands, sports glasses, goggles, smart glasses and a fully integrated second-hand assortment. Synsam Vika brings together eye health, innovation and circularity under one roof and contributes to an attractive and forward-looking Oslo city centre.

The winners of the NCSC Nordic Awards 2026 will be announced on 3 September in connection with NCSC RetailConnect at Posthuset in Stockholm.
