Xer Tech Holding AB (publ): Xer Technologies, PLATH and CENTUM Integrate Cellular Geolocation Capability into X8 PRO Airborne Intelligence Solution

2026-08-28 08:30:00

Xer Technologies AG, a wholly owned subsidiary of Xer Tech Holding AB (Spotlight: XER),

and CENTUM today announced the successful integration of CENTUM's advanced cellular detection and geolocation payloads into the Xer X8 PRO Long Endurance Multicopter.

The integration expands the platform's capabilities for Signal Intelligence and Search and Rescue missions, enabling the detection and geolocation of mobile phones from a compact and rapidly deployable airborne platform.

The integration is part of a customer project delivered in collaboration between PLATH and Xer Technologies, with PLATH designing the mission-specific intelligence solution and integrating CENTUM's cellular detection and geolocation capability.

PLATH and Xer Technologies have been cooperating for several years on UAV-based intelligence and electronic warfare solutions. Across a growing number of projects, Xer provides long-endurance unmanned aerial platforms, while PLATH designs and integrates mission-specific intelligence solutions based on operational customer requirements.

PLATH's sensor-agnostic approach enables intelligence systems to be configured around the operational use case, integrating the most suitable sensors and subsystems from PLATH and selected technology partners. For the present customer requirement, CENTUM's compact cellular detection and geolocation technology was selected due to its favourable SWaP characteristics and mission performance.

CENTUM's lightweight Mini Series is designed for integration into unmanned aircraft, providing cellular detection and geolocation capabilities for security, defense and emergency operations. Its compact design makes it suitable for platforms such as the sub-40 kg X8 PRO.

The X8 PRO, Xer Technologies' hybrid-electric multicopter, offers up to 3.5 hours of flight endurance and can carry multiple payloads with a total capacity of up to 10 kg in long-endurance configurations. The integration of CENTUM's technology enables operators to conduct extended detection and geolocation missions while benefiting from the flexibility and rapid deployment of an unmanned platform.

Partnership Statements.

"Xer Technologies' objective is to establish the X8 PRO as a reference platform for multi-sensor Signal Intelligence solutions. Expanding the payload ecosystem through partners like CENTUM enables a more capable and adaptable platform for operators working in complex environments," says Erik Herlyn, CEO, Xer Technologies AG

"Integrating CENTUM's advanced detection and geolocation capabilities into the X8 PRO expands the operational possibilities of a compact, long-endurance unmanned platform. This collaboration provides operators with a rapidly deployable solution designed to improve situational awareness and mission effectiveness in demanding environments," says Héctor Estévez, CEO, CENTUM
