IT service provider Netum celebrates its 25th anniversary – strong growth, long-term partnerships and confident look for tomorrow
In a quarter of a century, the company has grown from a small expert workshop to a listed company, a trusted partner and a pioneer in responsible digitalisation. The company serves a wide range of customers, including both public and private sector organisations, across Finland.
Netum, originally a Tampere-based IT service company that started its operations in 2000, is celebrating its 25th anniversary. The company has grown from a small expert workshop to an IT services group employing approximately 400 people, while maintaining its down-to-earth approach, which relies on moderate decision-making and long-term customer relationships. In addition to organic growth, Netum has also grown through seven acquisitions, and in 2021, the company was listed on the Nasdaq Helsinki First North marketplace.
Netum's founders and largest shareholders have been involved from the very beginning.
“It is terrific that the company is still strong after 25 years and that the largest shareholders have stayed with us from the beginning. Decisions made with patience and consideration have led to the right results. That is why we are calm about new technology trends, such as the AI boom," describes Repe Harmanen, CEO of Netum Group Plc.
Netum was founded to ensure customers have a reliable partner who takes care of both the development and continuity of digital systems.

Netum has successfully navigated several industry and global upheavals, including the 2000 IT boom, the 2008 financial crisis, the coronavirus pandemic, and the recent geopolitical tensions.
“The situation in the world is changing, but Netum's mission remains the same. We aim to be a sustainably growing company that thrives regardless of market conditions. You must always be prepared for everything to go well in the end," Harmanen sums up.
