The Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority (FCCA) approved the acquisition of business operations of Hurrikaani Oy
Puuilo announced on 19 September 2023 about the acquisition of business operations of Hurrikaani Oy, where Puuilo will acquire discount retail chain Hurrikaani’s Nokia, Ylöjärvi and Forssa stores.
Today, the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority (FCCA) approved the acquisition. The approval was not subject to any conditions.
"The decision was in line with our expectations, and we will proceed with the three purchased stores in accordance with our plan. As we previously announced, we will convert them into Puuilo stores during the first half of financial year 2024. The opening date of each store will be informed separately," says Juha Saarela, CEO of Puuilo.
