Talenom sells its debt collection business to Svea
Talenom Plc has agreed to sell its Finnish debt collection business to Svea Bank AB. The divested business will be transferred to Svea’s Finnish debt collection business on 1 December 2024. The decision to sell the business is based on Talenom's updated strategy from October, according to which Talenom plans to focus on its core competencies by transferring non-accounting services and products to partners. The annual net sales of the divested business is approximately EUR 0.5 million.
“We felt that the debt collection business would require more investments, especially in terms of internationalization. With the transaction, we can focus on our strengths while, at the same time, our customers will have access to wider debt collection services through Svea. We believe that the partnership agreement will strengthen the growth of both companies,” says Talenom’s CEO Otto-Pekka Huhtala.
“The transaction was an easy decision for both parties, as Talenom and Svea have been working closely together for a long time. Svea's corporate financing solutions have already been available to Talenom's customers, and now their debt collection services are being transferred to a familiar player that specializes and strongly invests in debt collection services,” says Pasi Väre, Svea's Country Manager.
Customers have been satisfied with the service and Talenom is confident that Talenom’s customers will continue to receive professional debt collection services provided by Svea, one of the leading companies in the debt collection industry. Svea is already a familiar partner to Talenom on the finance side, and the divestment strengthens the existing partnership.
