Toivo Group Plc (“Toivo”) has today signed a preliminary land lease agreement with the City of Helsinki concerning three residential apartment building plots located in Sompasaari, Helsinki. Long-term land lease agreements will be concluded for the plots at a later stage, and consumer sales housing will be developed on them. The total value of the residential units to be constructed is estimated to be approximately EUR 40–50 million, and the number of apartments is estimated to be around 100–120. The implementation and schedule of the overall project are subject to certain conditions, including building permits and the buildability of the plots.
The first phase of the project will commence during 2026, and the final phase must be completed by early 2029.
‘The development of the Sompasaari Nihti block will be Toivo’s flagship project over the next three years. The location of the project is excellent—close to the city centre and the services of Kalasatama, yet still enjoying the maritime tranquility of the southern tip of Sompasaari. We believe the apartments will attract strong demand. Marketing of the project will begin in February 2026,’ says Toivo’s CEO, Markus Myllymäki.
The signed preliminary agreement has no impact on the financial result for 2025.
