Inside information: Kimmo Herranen has been appointed as Administer Plc's new CEO from 1 May 2023
Kimmo Herranen has been appointed as Administer Plc’s new CEO from 1 May 2023 onwards. Kimmo Herranen (born 1973, M.Sc. (Economics and Business Administration) has served in different roles in Administer Group since 2005. He is transferring to his new role from the position of CEO in Silta Oy, subsidiary of Administer Plc.
Kimmo Herranen’s role as CEO is to secure the Group’s next growth stage and significant improvement of profitability in line with the company’s targets.
“As the CEO of Silta, Kimmo Herranen has shown his capability to grow the company profitably, and particularly his skill in personnel development forms a good basis for success in his new role. Kimmo has lengthy experience from a financial administration service organisation, and he has worked as a gazelle entrepreneur and as head of a sales organisation. It is great that we were able to find a suitable candidate from within the company,” says Jukka-Pekka Joensuu, Chairman of Administer Plc’s Board of Directors.
The company’s long-standing CEO Peter Aho will continue as leader of the Group’s growth projects and the accounting firm business and member of the Board of Directors.
“Peter Aho has made an exceptional career in Finnish corporate history by working for nearly three decades to grow Administer from a one-person company into today’s listed Group employing more than 700 people. Peter’s ability to innovate is unparalleled in the financial and payroll administration industry, and in his new role, he will be able to focus better on innovation and growth projects crucial to the company. The company has been able to build and reshape financial administration business processes and the related technology development in an exceptional way. The outlook for the industry is promising, and I have strong faith in Kimmo Herranen’s capability to continue the company’s positive development,” says Jukka-Pekka Joensuu.
Other changes in Administer’s Management Team
As Kimmo Herranen takes on the role of Administer Plc’s CEO, Toni Leppänen, member of Silta Oy’s management team, will start as Silta Oy’s CEO.
At the same time, Group subsidiary Adner Oy’s management is strengthened as Sales Director Pasi Kiikkinen from EmCe Solution Partner Oy takes up the position of Adner’s CEO. Kiikkinen has thorough knowledge on EmCe’s software solutions, which have good growth potential as part of Adner’s financial administration service model for large companies.
Toni Leppänen and Pasi Kiikkinen will also be members of the Group Management Team from 1 May 2023 onwards.
Administer Group’s information management is also adjusted to better answer the different needs of the Group businesses, and overall responsibility for ICT is transferred to each business. Consequently, the position of Group CIO is discontinued on 30 April 2023. Jukka Iivonen, who has held the position, will transfer within the Group to become Silta Oy’s CIO and member of Silta Oy’s management team from 1 May 2023 onwards.
