Nordic Unmanned is proud to announce that its wholly-owned subsidiary, AirRobot, has received Type Certification Approval II B from the German Armed Forces for its AR100-H unmanned aerial system. This significant milestone underscores the AR100-H's exceptional capabilities and robust performance in meeting the rigorous standards set by the German military. This approval signifies that the AR100-H has been vetted and validated by the German Armed Forces, making it a trusted and reliable asset for their operations. The AR100-H is designed in accordance with aviation software and hardware standards, RTCA DO-178 and 254. The AR100-H is developed with environmental engineering considerations and laboratory tests in accordance MIL-STD-810 for military equipment.
"This approval marks a significant step forward in our mission to provide top-tier aviation grade unmanned systems, produced in NATO and certified by a NATO member-state, to our clients worldwide," said Lars A. Landsnes, COO of Nordic Unmanned ASA.
The AR100-H system will now be fully operational within the German Armed Forces, enhancing their capabilities with state-of-the-art unmanned technology. This approval not only strengthens AirRobot's position in the defense sector but also highlights Nordic Unmanned's commitment to innovation and excellence in unmanned aviation.
"This approval allows us to start delivery of the first batches of drone systems under the Mikado II contract to the German Armed Forces, and we expect to begin deliveries within the next few weeks," said Robert Polok, Managing Director at AirRobot.
