BIRKERØD, DENMARK - ViroGates A/S, a medical technology company developing blood tests for better triaging in hospitals to improve patient care and reduce healthcare costs, today announces that the distribution partner in Portugal, Arium, has started successfully selling suPARnostic® to hospitals in the Portuguese market. The hospitals primarily use suPARnostic® to guide anakinra treatment in adult COVID-19 patients.
ViroGates supplies products to Arium on a centralized basis and cannot inform about the details of the individual accounts.
Jakob Knudsen, CEO of ViroGates, says: ”We are happy to see the first clinical customers in Portugal. This is a direct result of the recent EMA approval and Arium’s efforts to increase awareness about the benefits of suPAR in the Portuguese market. We are happy that Portuguese COVID-19 patients now also have access to suPAR-guided anakinra treatment.
