2024-04-04 10:25:04
(Oslo, 4 april 2024) Olav Gram Degnes today assumes the role of Chief Financial
Officer («CFO») at Ayfie Group AS (Ayfie, OSE: AYFIE) joining Chief Executive
Officer («CEO») Herman Sjøberg in the mission to unlock the company's untapped
potential.
- After monitoring many companies on the stock exchange in recent years, Ayfie's
stock pricing appears as an option. The company has a product with a unique
opportunity, and that is the integration with generative AI, says Degnes.
He continues:
- The company has an outstanding opportunity to assist both large and small
companies in the international market in managing and searching through their
documents, and the AI tool makes the product truly exceptional. I look forward
to taking on the tasks and getting to know both the company and its
shareholders.
In March, Ayfie announced a partnership with one of the leading global
consulting firms, which will utilize Ayfie's AI applications. Therefore, the
company raised 20 MNOK in a private placement, with the largest shareholders
including Øystein Stray Spetalen, Lars Nilsen, Jan Chr. Opsahl, and Jostein
Devold all participating. The company attracted several new shareholders in the
oversubscribed issue. All four, in addition to being major shareholders, are
members of the company's board. Lars Boilesen, with broad experience from Opera
Software and board membership in Norwegian Air Shuttle and Napatech, is the
Chair of the board. Jan Chr. Opsahl, with extensive experience in building both
TANDBERG, TANDBERG TV, and Tomra, is the vice Chair of the board.
- We are very pleased that Degnes accepted our offer. He will now be a vital
resource to increase sales for the company while simultaneously communicating
with both our shareholders, the stock market, and our customers. His diverse
experience will be highly valuable for company`s growth, and we have high
expectations for the future, says Opsahl.
For the past 5,5 years, Degnes has worked as a financial journalist for
Finansavisen and has been a familiar face on the newspaper's TV broadcasts. He
also hosted Aksjepodden, one of the country's leading business podcasts. Before
becoming a journalist, since 2007 he has worked in finance and economics,
serving as a wealth manager, stockbroker, and advisor to investors.

In addition to the CFO role, Degnes will also be responsible for investor
relations (IR).
