Capsol Technologies has signed a 5-month contract for the delivery of a
CapsolGo® demonstration campaign at EEW's Energy-from-Waste (EfW) plant in
Hannover, Germany. The CapsolGo® demonstration campaign will be delivered as an
all-inclusive service with a testing and validation program, providing EEW with
valuable data and information on CapsolEoPTM (End-of-Pipe) capture technology.
The unit is currently being upgraded to allow for increased energy efficiency,
and once completed it will be transported to EEW's site in Hannover for
operations to commence during Q3 2023.

"We're pleased to announce the third order in Germany for a CapsolGo®
demonstration campaign and to start working with EEW, one of the country's
largest EfW companies. This is a clear sign that the German market is seriously
preparing for the implementation of full-scale carbon capture plants and that
our energy efficient and environmentally friendly offerings are competitive",
says Philipp Staggat, Chief Product Officer of Capsol Technologies.

EEW
EEW's 17 sites in Germany, Luxembourg and the Netherlands processing 5 million
tonnes of waste per year. Approximately half of it consists of biogenic waste
and half of fossil components. In relation to the fossil share of the waste,
about 2 million tonnes of CO2 are produced as process-related and unavoidable
emissions during the thermal treatment of the waste. The full-scale potential
for carbon capture in the Hanover plant, including the 50 per cent share of
biogenic CO2, is 280 000 tonnes CO2 per year. EEW's plants generate process
steam for industrial plants, district heating for residential areas and
environmentally sustainable power for approximately 720 000 households.

"Fully in line with our sustainability goals, we can and will capture CO2 from
our thermal waste treatment plants and either store it permanently or make it
usable", says COO Dr. Joachim Manns and added: "We are committed to a strong and
sustainable circular economy, and carbon capture utilisation and storage will be
a critical contribution to reducing the greenhouse effect. We look forward to
testing Capsol's carbon capture technology for flue gases at the plant in
Hannover, as a highly energy efficient and environmentally friendly process",
the Member of the Executive Board further explains.

The CapsolGo® demonstration campaign will be delivered as a service with a
testing and validation program by an independent third party. The program will
provide the client with valuable data and information on CapsolEoPTM, its
efficiency, flexibility, and safety, helping to accelerate the decision
processes towards full-scale carbon capture plants at their facilities.

Germany is the largest EfW market in the EU with approximately 100 plants
turning 46 million tonnes of non-recyclable waste into heat and electricity
annually. During Q1, Capsol Technologies opened an office in Berlin to
strengthen the company's capabilities to win and execute projects in Germany.

About CapsolGo®
o CapsolGo® demonstration projects are designed to provide emitters with carbon
capture data using Capsol's HPC-based process on their specific plants,
supporting accelerated decision processes towards full-scale carbon capture.
o A standard CapsolGo® demonstration campaign is offered on a rental basis,
typically has a duration of six months, and includes transportation,
installation, operation, and testing services.
o Capsol's HPC-based process is using potassium carbonate as the CO2 solvent, a
process which is well-documented and used in more than 750 plants globally in
multiple industries. A patented energy re-circulation process offers low capture
cost and the flexibility to monetise heat and electricity.

About EEW
EEW Energy from Waste GmbH (EEW) is one of the leading companies in Europe in
the field of thermal recovery of waste and sewage sludge. EEW Energy from Waste
is already making an important contribution towards protecting the climate and
resources and is a key player in the circular economy. Our group currently
operates 17 sites processing around 5 million tonnes of residual waste per year.
With more than 1 400 employees we ensure that the energy contained in waste is
utilised, the volume of waste is reduced, the hazards caused by waste are
eliminated safely and without negative impact on the environment, and that scrap
metals and compound materials are recycled. Moreover, we efficiently utilise the
energy contained in waste to generate process steam for industrial plants,
district heating for residential areas and environmentally sustainable
electricity. In line with our vision for the future, we have set a goal to be
climate neutral by 2030 and climate positive by 2040. A key measure in addition
to reducing our CO2 emissions will be carbon capture at our facilities. The
captured carbon will be partly stored underground or utilised as a valuable
resource for the production of chemical products or synthetic fuels in a
carbon-neutral economy of the future.

About Capsol Technologies
