San Jose, California / Oslo, 23.06.2026 - Ensurge Micropower ASA (OSE: ENSU)
today announces the appointment of Salil Soman as Chief Commercial Officer
(CCO), effective 23 June 2026. Salil joins Ensurge's executive team with a
mandate to accelerate commercial adoption of the company's solid-state lithium
microbattery technology with a strategy to drive mass-market volume across the
highest-value applications.
Salil brings more than 25 years of experience spanning advanced battery and
energy storage technologies, system electrification, and clean-tech
commercialization. His career includes executive leadership roles in business
development, corporate strategy, product marketing, and engineering management
at companies developing lithium-ion, solid-state, sodium-ion, and nickel-zinc
battery technologies, as well as earlier engineering leadership positions
supporting global automotive battery development and commercial vehicle

As CCO, Salil will lead Ensurge's commercial go-to-market strategy, with a focus
on high-growth markets that maximize the company's value proposition. His
priorities will include accelerating commercial adoption of Ensurge's
solid-state microbattery technology by deepening customer relationships,
expanding strategic partnerships, and converting industry engagements into
long-term commercial programs.
In parallel, Salil will work closely with the executive team to broaden industry
awareness of the opportunities for Ensurge's technology, while positioning the
company for sustained growth across several high-value application areas,
including hearables, wearables, medical devices, industrial systems, and
defense.
Salil Soman, Chief Commercial Officer, Ensurge Micropower, comments: "I believe
solid-state batteries will play a transformative role in powering the next
generation of wearable, IoT, medical, and connected devices. Their unique
combination of safety, form factor conformance, energy density, and power
capability makes them exceptionally well suited for applications where
conventional battery technologies face limitations. I am excited to join Ensurge
and help expand the commercial reach of a technology platform that is uniquely
positioned to address these growing market opportunities."
Shauna McIntyre, CEO, Ensurge Micropower, comments: "Solid-state batteries are
at an inflection point, and having the right commercial leadership in place is
critical to capturing the opportunity ahead of Ensurge. Salil has spent his
career at exactly this intersection, translating breakthrough battery
technologies into real market traction, and I am confident he will do the same
for Ensurge. His arrival further strengthens a leadership team that is fully
aligned around our product development roadmap and delivering on our commercial
promise."
Prior to joining Ensurge, Salil served as Vice President of Business Development
at Feon Energy, where he led commercialization efforts for next-generation
battery electrolytes serving e-mobility, energy storage, aerospace and defense,
drones, and consumer electronics markets. Over the course of his career, he has
helped commercialize multiple advanced battery technologies, established
strategic partnerships worldwide with major OEMs, battery manufacturers, and
materials suppliers, supported strategic fundraising initiatives, and built
commercial pipelines spanning automotive, aviation, consumer electronics, data
center, and stationary energy storage markets.
