Induct AS - Update on Care Pathway activities
2026-10-13 11:55:54
Induct AS ("Induct" or the "Company") continues to advance the commercial
deployment of Care Pathways in England. Current activities include progressing
the planned subscription agreement with Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS
Trust, extending the scope of the existing Severe Asthma Care Pathway,
strengthening the evidence base for future adoption, expanding stakeholder
engagement and evaluating funding opportunities.
Portsmouth subscription agreement:
Induct continues work towards establishing a subscription agreement with
Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust for Care Pathway. The proposed
agreement would represent an important step in the Company's transition from the
previous advertising-funded model to a subscription-based revenue model.
The contractual work includes both Portsmouth-specific requirements and matters
relevant to future NHS deployments, including data protection, service delivery,
liability and intellectual property rights. Induct is investing in this work to
create a reusable contractual framework that can support future commercial
agreements with NHS organisations.
The main commercial terms have largely been agreed. Completion remains subject
to finalisation of the contractual documentation and approval by both parties.
Expansion of the Severe Asthma Care Pathway:
Induct and Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust are also progressing work
to expand the scope of the existing Severe Asthma Care Pathway.
Patients with severe asthma frequently have comorbidities and related
inflammatory diseases that influence treatment decisions, particularly for
patients receiving biologic therapies. As the use of biologic treatments
expands, the need to manage these patients through an integrated clinical
workflow is increasing.
Induct is therefore working with Portsmouth to extend the Severe Asthma Care
Pathway to support additional biologic-treated patient groups and relevant
comorbidities, including selected ear, nose and throat patient groups and
patients with related inflammatory diseases. The objective is to build on the
existing deployment by supporting a broader range of biologic-treated patients
and associated clinical activities within the same platform.
Benefits realisation:
Induct is progressing work to strengthen the evidence base for the Severe Asthma
Care Pathway through external evaluation and validation activities.
Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust have reported a range of operational
benefits from using the Severe Asthma Care Pathway, including improved pathway
standardisation, information quality, service visibility and multidisciplinary
team processes. The platform has also been associated with reduced
administrative workload and increased MDT capacity, including the ability to
assess more patients through multidisciplinary team processes.
To support future adoption and commercial deployment, Induct has initiated
discussions with Health Innovation Oxford and Thames Valley on external
evaluation and benefits realisation activities. The objective is to establish an
independent and structured assessment of operational, clinical and economic
outcomes, providing a stronger evidence base for NHS organisations considering
adoption of the platform.
Broader stakeholder engagement:
Induct continues to engage with severe asthma specialist centres, patient
organisations, NHS innovation and transformation stakeholders, and
pharmaceutical companies active in respiratory and biologic treatment.
The purpose of this engagement is to support future adoption, strengthen the
evidence base, understand the requirements of additional specialist services and
identify opportunities for broader deployment within respiratory and related
care pathways.
These activities build on Induct's previously communicated focus on engaging NHS
organisations involved in innovation, digitalisation and healthcare
transformation, while exploring selected extensions into related respiratory
pathways.
Funding:
Induct continues to evaluate funding opportunities that could support the
further development and adoption of Care Pathway. This includes opportunities
associated with the Respiratory Transformation Partnership and other relevant
funding programmes that may support pathway transformation, evidence generation
and wider adoption.
Induct will update the market on material developments and milestones.
