In the quarterly report for Q2, we announced that Ignacio Orteu Giménez will be
taking over as CTO in Induct. To support our growth ambitions, it is crucial
that we have the knowledge and experience needed at every level of our
organization. Ignacio has 35+ years of technical and business management
experience from companies with a strong international growth and marketing
focus. He has held CEO and CTO roles in previous companies within both IT
security and healthcare technologies, and will no doubt be a great asset to the
company going forward.
"The combination of technical expertise and business acumen is crucial for us.
We are a small company with big ambitions, and building on a solid technical
foundation that allows us to grow and adapt with the market is essential.
Ignacio is a perfect fit with Induct and we are delighted to welcome him to the
leadership team", says Induct CEO Synnøve Jacobsen.
Ignacio was a Senior Director / CTO in Picis for 7 years. Picis is a global
provider of clinical information solutions in healthcare. The company focus and
specialize their integrated suite of solutions in life-critical areas of the
hospital. The company has licensed systems for use at more than 400 hospitals
worldwide. Spending his time between Spain and the US, Ignacio was a key contact
point for C-level customers. His position included responsibility for product
development, and he was also in charge of setting up and managing new technical
teams internationally.
In addition to his corporate experience, Ignacio has also founded two companies,
Estrategia y Tecnología and Xifra Business. Estrategia y Tecnología was a
consulting firm providing strategy, technology and business management services
to companies, and was a pioneer within the fields of business intelligence (BI)
and security technologies. During his time as Managing Partner in Estrategia y
Tecnología, Ignacio was a lecturer at University Ramon Llull on their Masters
prgramme in eManagement.
Xifra was created with the idea of offering technical security "packages" to
companies and their appliances / devices. Xifra was founded with 1.5 M EUR from
Venture Capital and it entered into a 3-party agreement with Sun Microsystems
(now part of Oracle) and General Electric (GE) Access Distribution. Xifra and
Sun created a bundle called Sun-Xifra, which was distributed by GE Access
Distribution in 6 European countries.
For the last 10+ years, Ignacio has worked as an independent consultant and
management for hire, supporting a variety of companies. Contracts included the
role as Chief Architect and Technology Lead at Vanadys. Vanadys is an IT company
focussed on managing complex technological environments and providing
consultancy services to facilitating digital transformation.
"I am very glad to be, as I see it, at the right place at the right moment.
Induct is working on very interesting and important projects. I am looking
forward to using my experience and knowledge to further strengthen and grow the
company, with healthcare architecture and security being a strategic priority
for our work within the healthcare sector", say Ignacio.
Ignacio is an industrial and mechanical engineer. He has an MBA from La Salle
University & Manhatten College of NY and a Management Development Program (PDD)
