Oslo/Madrid, 9th of September 2025
PowerPool is pleased to announce the launch of its new turn-key hosting service
for its clients, marking a significant expansion of its service offering.
The new facility, located in Northern Norway, will leverage immersion cooling
technology to deliver higher stability, reduced downtime, and extended hardware
lifespans. Combined with access to low-cost, sustainable energy, the hosting
service aims to offer customers some of the most competitive operating
conditions in the industry.
The company will soft-launch its hosting services during a pilot program, backed
by close to EUR 200,000 in initial capital expenditure in H2 2025. The pilot
project is designed to prepare the service offering to grow to a 1 MW deployment
as Arctic Cores site completes construction of required infrastructure. The
first scale-up phase is planned for 2026, positioning PowerPool for large-scale
growth in the hosting market.
To accelerate this growth initiative, PowerPools board of directors advices to
defer further interrim dividends for 2026. The decision allows Powerpool to
reinvest directly into the hosting service and expand capacity under profitable
growth. Initial revenues stemming from the sale of these services are expected
to start towards the end of 2025, mainly due to lead time from suppliers.
The hosting service will closely integrate with Powerpools current software
platform and current services, and the beta version is already completed and
integrated.
"By combining immersion cooling with Northern Norway's competitive power costs,
we are creating one of the most efficient and future-proof hosting environments
in the world," comments Ruben Gomez Morales, CEO of PowerPool. "This pilot is a
milestone for PowerPool and a crucial step in preparing for the next 1 MW
deployment in 2026."
"The launch of PowerPools hosting services ties neatly into our vision of
utilizing synergies between group companies, with closer ties between Arctic
Core, Lokotech and PowerPools business verticals. I expect the initiative to
have lasting impact on all three group companies. " Comments group CEO Ola
Stene-Johansen.
Further updates regarding facility progress, hosting availability, and customer
onboarding will be communicated in due course.
Regarding SOC timeline, a rough estimate for completion has been given by the
certifying auditor, whom expects to be completed with his audit in the first
half of October 2025.
