Reference is made to the presentation held by the Admission Committee December
1, where the recommendation from the committee's work were presented. It is
important to underline that this is a recommendation and not a decision ready
for implementation. The outcome could likely differ from these recommendations
as the NOU (Official Norwegian Report) will be subject to a hearing process.
These recommendations will most likely have effect the earliest from the school
year 24/25. Short term, recommendations will have limited impact on current
business and Lumi Gruppen have already, as stated in the latest Q report,
experienced a post-Covid shock.

Lumi Gruppen acknowledges that there is room for improvement in the current
admission system. However, the recommendations do not solve the root cause
problem from the Group`s perspective. There will still be limitation on number
of admission places and with limited supply, Lumi Gruppen believes that there
will still be a market for helping young people to qualify for higher education.
Further, a large share of the private candidate business is about helping young
students to get their diploma. In addition, students can still in the future
take exams in subjects not previously taken and potentially improve the ranking
position. This part of the business will remain unchanged independently of the
recommendations presented today. Further, Lumi Gruppen should also be in a good
position to provide services in connection with students preparing for admission
tests or similar options if this will be a part of the admission system. 

With a strong position in the higher education market, Lumi Gruppen will
continue to expand its study programme portfolio to provide more admission
places. This will be of importance to young students if there will be
limitations with respect to improving grades and for the Group this will
represent a growth opportunity.
