Veidekke: Letter of intent to acquire aggregates business in Western Sweden

Veidekke has signed a letter of intent to acquire Ucklum Grus ab, an aggregates
business located near Uddevalla. The transaction will further strengthen
Veidekke's position in the Gothenburg region, where the group already holds a
solid presence across construction, asphalt, and aggregates markets.
Ucklum Grus ab was established in 1994 and has nine employees. In 2025, the
company generated revenues of SEK 45 million and an operating profit of SEK 13
million.
"We see attractive potential in Ucklum Grus' aggregates operations, which will
complement and strengthen Veidekke's existing infrastructure business in the
region," says Marcus C Nilsson, EVP at Veidekke.
Veidekke will acquire 100% of the shares in Ucklum Grus ab through a cash
settlement. The agreed purchase price corresponds to an enterprise value of SEK
45 million on a debt-free basis. The consideration will be financed from
Veidekke's existing liquidity. The current owners are divesting the company as
part of a generational transition.
Closing is expected by the end of the third quarter of 2026. Completion is
subject to satisfactory due diligence, execution of a final purchase agreement,
and approval by competition authorities and other relevant public bodies.
