Veidekke: To build new homes on Jarlsø in Tønsberg

Veidekke has signed an agreement with Jarlsø Eiendom AS for the development of a
new phase at Jarlsø in Tønsberg. Through the Jarlsø Brygge project, Veidekke
will construct 28 apartments. The design and build contract is valued at NOK 173
million, excluding VAT.
This contract marks the fourth development phase that Veidekke has signed with
Jarlsø Eiendom as part of the ongoing development of the island just outside
Tønsberg.

and build contractor for yet another project at Jarlsø. This is the fourth
consecutive project we are carrying out together on the island, and we are
committed to delivering the same high quality this time as well. Very few
residential projects are being launched at the moment, which makes the decision
to proceed with construction particularly gratifying," says Lars N. Hjertås,
Director of Veidekke Bygg Øst. He also highlights the close and productive
collaboration with KB arkitekter on a project that offers many attractive
qualities.
Jarlsø Eiendom has been developing the residential community at Jarlsø, just
outside Tønsberg, since 2007. The project is located along the waterfront on the
northern side of the island, with immediate access to the sea. The 28 apartments
are housed in an elongated building that gradually rises to four storeys.
Apartment sizes range from 65 square metres for the smallest unit to 185 square
metres for the largest.
The building will offer a range of shared amenities, including two rooftop
terraces, a guest cabin, and a community house. A public sauna will also be
established at the new marina. In addition, a new pier and swimming area will be
developed along the waterfront in front of the building. Jarlsø Brygge is the
eighth development phase undertaken by Jarlsø Eiendom. Stian Røed of Jarlsø
Eiendom is pleased to move forward with another phase of the development
project.
"There has been strong sales activity in this phase, and we are delighted to
begin construction of Jarlsø Brygge together with Veidekke. Over time, we have
built a close and solid partnership here at Jarlsø, and we now look forward to
continuing that collaboration," says Røed.
Construction of Jarlsø Brygge will commence immediately, with completion
scheduled for the second quarter of 2028. The contract will be included in
Veidekke's order backlog for the third quarter of 2026.
