Wilh. Wilhelmsen Holding ASA: Second quarter 2026 results

2026-08-12 18:00:00
Solid performance from the operating businesses delivered an EBITDA of USD 62
million in the second quarter. Combined with continued positive contribution
from associates, this resulted in a net profit of USD 147 million for the
period.

Total income for the group was USD 320 million, up 2% from corresponding period
last year, and up 4% from the first quarter of 2026. EBITDA ended at USD 62
million, up 30% from the corresponding period last year and up 23% from the
previous quarter.

"The quarter reflects the strength of our operating businesses, with high
activity and continued progress from performance improvement initiatives.
Combined with contributions from strategic investments and portfolio
realisations, this resulted in a solid overall performance. While uncertainty
remains, our diversified portfolio, strong balance sheet, and financial
flexibility position us well to navigate changing market conditions, ensuring
our ability to perform through cycles," says Thomas Wilhelmsen, Group CEO.

The Maritime Services segment had a total income of USD 228 million in the
second quarter. This was up 7% from the corresponding period last year and up 2%
from the previous quarter.

Total income for the New Energy segment was USD 91 million, down 8% year over
year, but up 8% from the previous quarter driven by strong activity levels in
NorSea.

The Strategic Holdings and Investments segment reported USD 85 million profit in
the second quarter. This was down from the corresponding period last year, which
included sales gain in Wallenius Wilhelmsen, and down quarter-on-quarter, mainly
due to lower share of profits from Wallenius Wilhelmsen.

Net profit to equity holders of the company after financial items and tax was
USD 146 million, equal to USD 3.49 earnings per share (EPS).

The Annual General Meeting approved a dividend of NOK 20.00 per share and
authorised the board to distribute additional dividend of up to NOK 8.50 per
share. This is in line with the targeted 3 - 5% dividend yield over time.

Commenting on the outlook for the group, Wilhelmsen says:
"Considerable uncertainty persists, specifically regarding geopolitical tension,
the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, and an uncertain global trade
environment, potentially impacting future performance and cash inflow. However,
the group retains its capacity to support, grow, and expand the business
portfolio, and to deliver yearly dividends in line with the dividend policy."
