Infrastructure services provider Eleda has acquired all shares in Mark & Bygg Resursen AB (“MBR”). Based in Stockholm, MBR’s primary operations comprise all types of groundworks, specialising in repair and new construction of district heating lines. The company has 15 employees and annual sales of approximately SEK 60 million.
MBR will report to Järfälla VA- & Byggentreprenad AB (“JVAB”), a platform company within Eleda. The previous owners and key individuals at MBR will continue in their operational roles, becoming partners in Eleda.
“In conjunction with the acquisition of MBR, Eleda and JVAB are strengthening their market position and establishing the District Heating business area in Stockholm. MBR has the relationships and expertise needed to help Eleda continue to capture market share in Stockholm. With its niche in district heating lines, it is a good complement to JVAB – and that will open the door to new exciting collaborations and synergies,” says Fredric Kastevik, CEO of JVAB Group.
“Having been a sole proprietor and contractor for several years, it is especially gratifying to become part of Eleda. For me, it was particularly important to find an environment where the company will be well looked after and where we can continue to develop. We have an excellent history behind us and it will be exciting to see how we can continue to refine and expand our operations going forward, in partnership with JVAB and Eleda,” says Mikael Björnfot, CEO and founder of MBR.
