Eleda Infra Services Group (“Eleda”) has signed an agreement to purchase K3 El-projektering AB (“K3”). K3’s management will continue in their respective operational roles, becoming partners in Eleda. The acquisition is a further step towards consolidating Eleda’s position as the leading infrastructure company in the Nordic region. Eleda’s total sales amount to approximately SEK 9 billion.

Eleda is an expanding group that focuses on small to medium-sized projects in the civil engineering and contracting industries as well as in power distribution and renewable energy, with a broad offering of infrastructure services for public and private-sector customers. K3 is an expertise-driven service provider in the design of protection and control systems for electrical power stations, at voltage levels up to 400 kV. The company will improve Eleda’s ability to serve customers that operate the Swedish energy grid, which in the coming years will be facing major investments driven by the transition to renewable energy, growing demand and the phase-out of a fossil fuel-driven vehicle fleet. K3’s journey of growth has been an impressive one, with good profitability, and the company has established a position as a market leader in its technical field due to its expertise and occupational know-how.

“With its industry-leading expertise and experience, K3 will serve as a spearhead for the rest of the Eleda Group’s operations focused on the construction of critical power distribution. We are convinced that K3 will bring significant synergies, strengthening Eleda as a comprehensive service provider in the energy sector. The acquisition of K3 is a further step towards consolidating our position as the leading infrastructure services company in the Nordic region,” says Johan Halvardsson, President and CEO of Eleda.

“This is a fantastic opportunity now for K3 to continue its development, together with our committed and skilled personnel, in the contractor-driven Eleda Group,” says Ingvar Henriksson, CEO of K3. “At a time when electrification of our society and upgrading existing electrical infrastructure is highly relevant, it is an incredible boost to be part of building and strengthening the Group’s civil engineering operations. We are looking forward to continuing to build K3’s position as a structural engineering company with market-leading expertise in protection and control systems, and to further strengthening the offering to both new and existing customers.”
