On 20 September 2021, Eleda Infra Services Group (“Eleda”) signed an agreement to acquire all shares in Älmby Entreprenad AB (“Älmby”). Älmby will be part of the regional company Akeab, which itself is part of Eleda. Based in Älmhult, Älmby has 115 employees and annual sales of approximately SEK 500 million. Älmby offers unique solutions in groundwork contracts, but also performs demolition and holing work.

In conjunction with this transaction, Älmby’s former owner and current acting CEO, Johnny Svensson, chose to focus on a role that brings him closer to production, and Karl Lagerbielke was appointed the new CEO. He will take office in early October.
“Älmby is a strong operator in the market, with good local knowledge. We consider the management team’s extensive experience and Älmby’s highly skilled employees to be an important addition to Akeab and Eleda. The acquisition of Älmby complements Akeab geographically, with its strong position in Småland and the surrounding area,” says Peter Condrup, CEO of Akeab.

Älmby provides services to municipalities as well as public and private-sector customers, and has secured a number of framework agreements that encompass civil engineering services.

“In recent years, we have drastically expanded our operations, and continuing this journey together with strong operators like Akeab and Eleda feels like a natural next step. I am convinced that our operations have many synergies, and to some extent will also add further breadth to Akeab’s and Eleda’s existing operations,” says Johnny Svensson, CEO of Älmby.

The transaction is subject to approval from the relevant authorities.
