Nightwish Gin is a unique creative partnership between Finland’s globally renowned symphonic metal band Nightwish and craft beverage brand Arctic Blue Beverages. In a world of celebrity spirits, the branding often overshadows the substance, but Nightwish Gin is breaking the mould with this honorable award. Nightwish Gin blends the band’s creative essence with the wild purity of Nordic nature. This gold medal win affirms that the pursuit of harmony, balance, and boldness is not only key to composing music, but also to crafting internationally acclaimed spirits.

“Nightwish understands harmony and storytelling through the senses exceptionally well,” says Valtteri Eroma, CEO of Arctic Blue Beverages. “In the creative process of this product, we trusted their artistic instincts, and together we composed a gin that tells a story that resonates. We also owe much of this success to our Master Distiller, Asko Ryynänen,” Eroma adds. “His craftsmanship and deep understanding of local botanicals gave the gin its soul.”

Nightwish Gin is inspired by the North Karelian wilderness, a place special to the origins of Nightwish. The handpicked arctic botanicals include rowan berries, spruce tips, and chicory root. The unique illustrations on the bottle are made by Pete Voutilainen and depict the small cottage where it all began for the band 29 years ago.

“We didn’t just want another celebrity gin. We wanted to create something meaningful, a spirit that echoes the soul of our music and our homeland,” says Tuomas Holopainen, Nightwish founder and composer. “We approached this like we do our albums: with patience, creativity, and an obsession with harmony. We are thrilled to see it has been recognised by the judges at IWSC!”
