· A feasibility study, on traumatic brain injury (TBI), involving 260 patient samples demonstrated excellent results and formed the basis for the signing of a SEK 29 million development agreement with BRAINBox Solutions.

Strong momentum following successful BRAINBox results

The second quarter of 2026 has been one of the most significant quarters in Prolight’s history. After several years of intensive product development, we have now taken a decisive step from technology verification to commercial validation. Most notably, the strong results from our study with BRAINBox Solutions have again confirmed the Psyros platform’s ability to deliver laboratory-quality performance at the point of care, generating substantially increased interest from the diagnostics industry.

During the quarter, we continued our efforts to finalize and industrialize the Psyros system while also achieving important advances in both product development and intellectual property. We received positive patent notifications in two of the world’s most important markets, Japan and the United States, further strengthening the protection of our unique technology and our long-term commercial opportunities.

 
The most important event of the quarter occurred after the reporting period when results from the traumatic brain injury (TBI) study involving 260 patient samples demonstrated excellent performance. The study showed the Psyros platform’s ability to measure TBI biomarkers with high sensitivity at the point of care while delivering performance comparable to central laboratory testing. The results were sufficiently compelling to form the basis of a development agreement with BRAINBox Solutions valued at approximately SEK 29 million.
 
The agreement is significant for several reasons. In addition to the direct funding, it represents clear external validation of he Psyros technology by a leading company in traumatic brain injury diagnostics. The collaboration also demonstrates how rapidly new biomarkers can be implemented on our platform and highlights Psyros’ potential across multiple clinical applications beyond cardiac biomarkers.
 
The positive study data generated using both high-sensitivity troponin assays and TBI biomarkers has contributed to a clear shift in how the market views Psyros. Discussions with potential partners are increasingly focused on commercial implementation rather than on proving the technology itself. We are seeing growing interest from diagnostic companies, industry partners and distributors who recognise the need for cost-effective point-of-care testing that delivers laboratory-quality results.
 
This was particularly evident at ADLM 2026, one of the world’s leading congresses for laboratory medicine and diagnostics. Many meetings were conducted with potential commercial partners interested in discussing strategic collaborations and future market opportunities for the Psyros platform. This increased interest reinforces our belief that the market is seeking next-generation point-of-care capable of combining laboratory-quality performance with speed, ease of use and cost efficiency.
 
We enter the autumn with stronger commercial momentum than ever before. Our focus going forward will be on validating manufacturing processes and initiating pilot production of the first commercial products. At the same time, discussions with potential strategic partners continue and have intensified following the positive outcomes from the BRAINBox collaboration and our presence at ADLM.
